Solar Photovoltaics

The most common solar panel seen today is the glass-encased crystalline panel that is made up of a metal backing, solar cells, and a glass panel sandwiched on top to protect the cells.

Ceralink has sucessfully demonstrated lamination of multiple solar cells. To the right and below is shown a 6" x 6.5" solar panel, which was FastFuse laminated in 45 seconds. This technology also allows for solderless electrical contact between solar cells and leads. Multiple cells can be wired either in series or parallel to control voltage / current output.
