Solar Photovoltaics

The most common solar panel seen today is the glass-encased crystalline panel that is made up of a metal backing, solar cells, and a glass panel sandwiched on top to protect the cells.
Ceralink has sucessfully demonstrated lamination of multiple solar cells. To the right and below is shown a 6" x 6.5" solar panel, which was FastFuse™ laminated in 45 seconds. This technology also allows for solderless electrical contact between solar cells and leads. Multiple cells can be wired either in series or parallel to control voltage / current output.
